Wine, chocolate, cheese and other goodness ... all mine this weekend. Image source: www.jean-cathy.com |
Now, I do love him. But ... WOOOOHOOOOO!
It's more that I enjoy time alone than I enjoy getting rid of him, for the record.
Because for the next few days I will have no demands on my time. And I won't have to share:
- the bed
- the Tim Tams
- the DVD player (no freaking Avatar this weekend!)
- the computer
- the stereo
And I can indulge, largely uninterrupted, in:
- trashy books
- trashy DVDs
- trashy food (except for chocolate. With him far away from the fridge, I can afford the good stuff)
- sleep
- long hours on the internet/twitter
- a kitchen that will stay clean
- a house that will stay tidy
What are you grateful for this week?

Oh how I long for some time alone! My partner watches Avatar every second day, so I feel your pain there ;)

Sounds fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteOooooh I will admit I am very jealous! I find myself looking into little getaway's more and more recently. I haven't been on a holiday since...well i was 12? So i think Mr Black would not be very happy if i brought up the idea of that however.

Enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteSounds divine. Absolutely divine.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
as soon as I read the title of your post I pictured wine and cheese and there they are waiting for me as the image in this post. And with a block of chocolate, no less. Enjoy xo

TOTALLY get this, Emma!
ReplyDeleteMy husband was away for 2 weeks recently. His first O/S work trip in a long time. I really loved the time to myself. Some nights it was eggs for dinner. Excellent.

Oh wow this sounds like a perfect weekend. You had me at "Tim Tams".
ReplyDeleteSometimes it feels soooooo good to just be alone and not have to negotiate for the remote and end up watching half a football game. Yawn.
Enjoy your weekend of indulgence! xxx
Do you really want alone time or can I pop over and share the wine and tim tams?! YUM!
ReplyDeleteHaha - I so get what you mean - I love my me time (it's very rare these days). Enjoy!
Time alone is wonderful sometimes. Your weekend sounds like bliss.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've got a lovely 'trashy' weekend planned! Enjoy. xx
ReplyDeleteI so love time alone. Don't get enough of it, but when I do a long, hot bubble bath, chocolate and sex & the city repeats, or a good book do the job.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy this weekend to the fullest x
Oh yes, I can totally relate to that. Even tonight, I have two kids tucked up in bed and hubby is off to a work-related dinner! It's heaven! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, I love your honesty, it is just fab when they're away for a bit! Enjoy being Queen of your domain! :)
ReplyDeleteSounds good to me! love a bit of time on my own, although its a rarity these days with two little ones! enjoy it! x
ReplyDeleteThat sounds heavenly! Enjoy every second of it.
ReplyDelete(ps. I must be one of the only people in the world to have not seen Avatar yet!). xx
Hope you had a great, relaxing weekend
